Immediately after getting experienced the permission, lord Nguyen imposed taxation on some items such as kapok. It seems that prior to the arrival of lord Nguyen, the Siam tradesmen had been provides there. As there was much kapok, they bought some to provide for their state. This is often why they gave the name “the forest of the kapok trees”
